Condition: Yu Syndrome •  Blood Deficiency
Treatment: Tonify Blood, calm spirit, regulate Liver Qi.
Description: Frequent sorrow without any obvious causes, abnormal joy or rage, unreasonable suspicion or fear, palpatation and irritability, insomnia, poor memory, sensation in the chest, hiccups, sudden loss of voice, convulsions, thin white tongue coating, wiry and thin pulse.
Comment: Additional points: HE5 and CV23 opens the voice, clears the throat. CV22 for hiccups, GV26 and KI1 for syncope.

Point Selection:
BL15 • Xin Shu • On the upper back, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the fifth thoracic vertebra (T5).
Heart Shu. Back Shu of the Heart that connects with Front Mu CV14.
Explanation: Tonify Heart Blood, calm spirit.

CV14 • Ju Que • In the epigastric region, on the anterior midline, 2 cun inferior to the xiphoid process and 6 cun superior to the umbilicus.
Great Tower Gate. Front Mu of the Heart that connects with Back Shu BL15.
Explanation: Calm spirit.

HE7 • Shen Men • On the transverse wrist crease, in the small depression between the pisiform and ulna bones.
Spirit Gate. Shu Stream Point on the Heart Channel. Yuan Source Point on the Heart Channel. Earth Point on Fire Meridian.
Explanation: Yuan Source and Earth point of the Heart

LR3 • Tai Chong • On the dorsum of the foot, between the first and second metatarsal bones, approximately 2 cun superior to the web margin.
Great Surge. Shu Stream Point on the Liver Channel. Yuan Source Point on the Liver Channel. Earth Point on Wood Meridian.
Explanation: Soothes Liver Qi, tonify Liver Blood.

PC6 • Nei Guan • On the anterior forearm, 2 cun superior to the transverse wrist crease, between the tendons of palmaris longus and flexor carpi radialis muscles.
Inner Pass. Luo Connecting Point on the Pericardium Channel to TE4. Special Command Point for the Thorax.
Explanation: Calm spirit, soothe Liver.

SP6 • San Yin Jiao • On the medial leg, 3 cun superior to the medial malleolus, on the posterior border of the tibia.
Contraindication: Do Not Needle If Pregnancy is known or suspected.
Three Yin Intersection. Meeting Point on the Spleen Channel with the Liver and Kidney Channels.
Explanation: Tonify Yin and Blood, strengthen source blood.
